Kalpataru Tree hails from Ashland, Oregon, where he says the beauty of the mountain ridges and forests give him his inspiration. Scattered Fragments of the Eternal Dream is the first self-released album from Curtis Humphrey, a one-made dub band. He writes, produces, and performs all components of the music, including the electric and bass guitar.
The overall sound is contemplative and relaxed as the bass pulls you along the 8+ minute tracks. Kalpataru Tree fits snugly between the psychedelic dub of the last few years and the more traditional Laswell-ian dub.
