Welcome to Dicta!

It’s been a long time coming, but Fake Science Dicta is now a fully functioning blog. Initially dicta was going to focus on music reviews, and it still will have its fair share, but we wanted to create something that allows us to get thoughts and ideas out there faster then the podcast or the rarely updated Scientific Journal.

As mentioned in the side bar, this blog is a collaborative effort of the Fake Scientists. We are each taking on a specific day of the week that we will post on, which is cool because you will get to see a bit more of our individual personalties. One of the goals of the blog is to hopefully give you more insight into what we are up to at FS and hopefully start some dialogs about what is going on in the digital music industry.

Not only that, but we also see this as a way for us to talk about the music that we are adding onto the site. A big challenge with going the online route with music sales is overcoming the lost experience of meeting face to face with the local music store clerk to talk about new music. This is one thing that I felt Christopher did an amazing job with Ambient Airlines. He created a space that you could go to and not only find amazing new music but also learn about it. I know this blog isn’t exactly the same experience as that… but its a step in the right direction.

Anyway, I just wanted to kick this off with the obligatory hello/about post and I am looking forward to how this grows!
